Fernwood Caravan Park is located near Lyneal, south east of Ellesmere in the rural county of Shropshire, full of unspoiled countryside, lakes, woods and breathtaking views.
The Fernwood touring caravan area offers electric hook up on grass, and multi service pitches on hard standing, all set amongst mature and attractive trees.
Holiday Homes are available for purchase with caravan hire also available to sample this delightful setting.
The Holiday Park benefits from its own fishing lake with a children's play area and Park Shop.
Fernwood was purchased by Ranch Caravan Parks Ltd during the 1960's when it was 66 acres of beautiful woodland and open countryside. It has been sympathetically developed to retain the beauty of its natural surroundings, and is greatly enhanced by the man made lake, which offers enjoyable fishing for all ages.
Our 40 acres of woodland are ideal for visitors with dogs or just a leisurely stroll. The informal layout of the holiday homes, together with the retention of mature trees, shrubs, hedges and woodland, and continued planting, all help to integrate the Park into its natural surroundings.
Calor Gas and a range of ice creams available at the Park Office.
There is a play area for children with swings, baby swings, slide and climbing frame and plenty of open space for recreation. A newly refurbished heated shower block for both ladies and gentlemen with separate accessible facilities. Launderette with coin-operated washing, drying and ironing facilities.
Our much admired course fishing lake is well stocked with Roach, Rudd, Tench, Mirror and Crucian Carp - to name a few. Please note it is not a fishery.
This site has a total of 165 pitches.
The season runs from Monday 1st March 2021 to Tuesday 30th November 2021
Fernwood is located 4½ miles south-east of Ellesmere, just off the B5063 road between Welshampton and Wem.
The turning to Fernwood is near the canal bridge and is indicated by the 'Fernwood' sign.
