This picturesque village is set in the heart of South Warwickshire and lies on the banks of the River Avon, five miles west of Stratford-upon-Avon, three miles south of Alcester, and just one mile from Bidford-on-Avon.

The centre of the village is designated as a conservation area and contains a number of attractive thatched houses, including what is believed to be the original “chocolate box cottage” in Boat Lane, reputedly the most photographed street in Warwickshire. St Peter’s church tower rises over these cottages and dates back as far as the 12th Century. The village is steeped in history and is home to approximately 600 houses and about 1300 residents.
